It was a beautiful Sunday morning of 28th March 2015, the last Sunday of the month and last Sunday to Easter celebrations, a day on which the Catholic Church happened to celebrate the Palm Sunday all over the world. At Don-Bosco CALM, the morning weather seemed to be cold but was later accompanied by drizzling weather. The place always celebrates two Masses; one with Makerere College students who are neighbors and the other with the fellow Christians in the neighborhood. The day proceeded smoothly as noted below. At around 6:45am, students from Makerere started arriving for the mass and by the time it clocked 7:00, the mass had already begun with a procession from outside imitating the receiving of Jesus by the Israelite in Jerusalem as their king with the waving of Palms with great joy and happiness. They later marched to the church to celebrate their mass with Rev.FR. Jean Marie  as the main celebrant. Beautiful songs accompanied the instruments like the piano; guitars and the jazz band were sung sweetly in Angelic voices.

By 8:45am, the first Mass came to an end but the drizzling weather had already started. Therefore the students had to bear with the costs of moving in the rain back to their school campus.

On 21st of March, 2015, the Uganda Martyrs Namugongo Parish in an effort to recognize its youths from the surrounding sub –parishes and as a way of bringing them together, organized games and sports that occupied the entire as youths both boys and girls muscled it out against each other to win the highly converted prizes of goats in both categories of netball and football. In reaction to the call, over 8 sub-parishes including our own – St. Antony sub-parish responded positively and took part in this one day thrilling Sports-Gala which had two disciplines that are, netball and football. As a result, the Salesians Community of Don Bosco CALM-Namugongo being under St. Antony sub-parish, happily unleashed its boy to join their fellow sisters within the sub-parish to raise the St. Antony sub-parish flag high by travelling to Uganda Martyrs Namugongo main play grounds to participate in the organized events. The community had also sent its volley ball team but unfortunately, volley ball was not on the list of the disciplines on the agenda of the day. The games in the boys’ category set off at 11:00Am with a number of teams from different sub-parishes such as Mbalwa, Kitukutwe, and Burindo, St. Antony, Nsasa, Kalungu, to mention but a few, each hoping to emerge champion by the end of the games.
