GOOD BYE AND GOOD JOURNEY DEAR HANNA AND ANNA, WE SHALL MISS YOU

On 22nd September 2014 two beloved volunteers from Poland came to stay for one month in our Don Bosco Childen And Life Mission (CALM). We were very happy to settle with them for one month. Yesterday Wednsday 22nd October 2014, they went back to Poland. It was not easy to see them packing their luggage preparing to leave. Many of Don Bosco CALM members: Children, and Salesians were sad about their departure. Hanna and Anna were very committed in our daily life’s activities here in Don Bosco CALM community. Boys were taken care of in everything by the two volunteers. We shall never forget their availability to take food every day at Kira Primary School, visiting our students at Majorine Secondary School, taking sick children at Zia Angelina Hospital, educating the boys through practical skills (Sewing clothes which are torn, drawing, movies, etc.).

The day before they left, all the Don Bosco CALM was mobilized by the Rector, Fr. Jean Marie Mushibwe to solemnize the evening farewell ceremonies and celebrations. The solemn Rosary prayer was wholeheartedly said for the intention of our two volunteers. The boys were asking a special protection of our Lady Mother Mary to them. It was wonderful. Boys, one by one, received the gifts from the two beloved Aunties, and could not wait to ask for a souvenir photo taken joyfully together with the two Aunties. This is was the last words articulated tearfully by the Don Bosco CALM Community.
