Preparing to leave on a mission my closest warned me that the difference of cultures and characters of people in Africa may be difficult for me to accept. Others ask I not afraid to leave and that I have to be very brave when I’ve chose mission. After a few days in Namugongo, in a village in southern Uganda, the Salesian community for boys taken from the street or from a family with a very difficult financial situation, I found one answer for everything: “One God for ever and ever”.

If it happens that I eat a meal at the same table with the missionaries from Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Sudan, Vietnam, India, Germany, Belgium and Poland it must be a power in Him Who has joined us in the work of preaching young people the goodness and mercy of God . Through travels with the sick boys to the hospital, through coloring competitions, through doing embroidery initials on clothing, by learning playing in basketball, especially also through daily prayer gathering in the center of the community – through all this I praise the One God, in each of our boys.
