The Presence of the Tenth Successor of Don Bosco at CALM

These three previous days at CALM were highly marked by the visit of the Rector Major, the general superior of all the Salesians worldwide, Rev. Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime. The Rector Major visited Uganda since Thursday March 15, to Saturday March 17, 2018. He got a whole day of Friday March 16, 2018 at Don Bosco Bombo where he met more than 2000 youth in mood of joy and happiness caused by the presence of the Rector Major among them. Saturday morning, the Rector Major offered the holy Eucharist to the children of CALM together with the Makerere College Students, Teachers and lay collaborators of our community.  It was a time of blessing and all of us experienced the love, simplicity, smile and kindness of our Superior. The Rector major was accompanied by his Secretary, Fr Oratio and the general Councillor for the Region of Africa and Madagascar. The Rector Major was happy of being welcomed as a king in Uganda. And this occasion will never be forgotten by anybody who got the chance of meeting him. The Rector Major, after the meeting with the provincial council of Africa Great Lakes Province (AGL), he left Namugongo CALM community for Entebbe International Airport to fly back to Rome with Ethiopian Airline. He was majestically accompanied in convoy by all the members of the provincial council, and some directors of the communities of Don Bosco in Uganda.
