They are Salesian Priests and Bothers helped by uncles, aunties. A part from this, volunteers arrive from Poland –men and women to do voluntary missionary work. The  education of these children is their part and major concern, apart from board plus lodge and Medicare, from primary one to the university level. But the big number is being taken to Vocation Training Institutes both Bombo and Kamuli  after  their primary level.

Whenever holidays come, different activities  take place in order to keep the children active and healthy instead of being dormant and lazy ending up falling into temptations like stealing, escaping for discos and so on. An example of this second terms’ holiday

On  point of studies, Secondary and VTC students have  study time allotted to them some  have been sacrificing their sleep and reading at night at their own pace. Morning and evening talk have been our daily bread  during these holidays, given by different people guidance talks, abusive talks for some people to change their behaviors, encouraging talks and so on. On Spiritual side,  we have been praying every morning and evening. Adoration  every Friday. On 7th September 2013, we prayed for peace in the whole world especially for Syria and America and other countries at war. Repentance before  mass for those who want particularly those who r wish to receive  the Holy Eucharist.

Finally, I extend my gratitude to the staff and children especially to staff which makes programs for us not forgetting the Salesians who have worked tirelessly to make sure that we the holiday makers feel at home. For our  welfare and four  our living in peace and harmony are their pride, happiness, hope and wish as St. John Bosco used to feel and feels up to now. And may God who has enabled us to pass through  this holiday also continue to bless us especially to all who stay in this community Don Bosco Calm as we also continue to pray, worship and glorify Him.
