On Friday 30^th of August 2013, Don Bosco Football club outwitted Buwaate Football Club in the ongoing Kira Champions League Tournament at Kira play ground. The long awaited match of the day kicked off at 4:30pm amidst the cheering crowds of spectators of both teams. Don Bosco F.C. started off at a steady pace and after 15 minutes into the game, Julius Piriot put the ball straight into the net after a poor ball clearance from the defenders of Buwaate F.C. hence putting Don Bosco F.C. into the driving seat. Both teams created several chances throughout the first half but failed to capitalize on them

During our Youth Forum IN KAMULI, the youth met from different parts of the salesians province-AGL-Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda to share their experiences of life and also their difficultiesand challenges. The Youth Forum of this year took place on Tuesday 6^th August 2013 and went up to Friday 9^th August.

The province youth forum of this year 2013 was held at St. Joseph VTC - Kamuli. It was attended by representatives of Salesian Houses in the three countries of Great Lakes of Africa (A.G.L.) namely; Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. The official opening of this youth forum took place on 6^th August and ended on 9^th August, 2013. However, before this, there was a meeting of the animators who were selected to represent the different communities of the Salesian Houses.

It was Sunday 25th August 2013 when the group of Human Help Network  came to visit Don BoscoC.A.L.M. in order to support the Centre.  Fr Richard-Rector of the Community took them qround then Salesians and social workers  met together and explained how Don BoscoC.A.L.M. functions. 

 

The farm at Don Bosco CALM can be proud of its cattle and birds that are reared here.  Some of the animals in the farm are cows, bulls, goats, pigs whilst poultry has hens (layers and broilers), ducks, geese and turkeys. Apart from this, quite a number of activities take place on the farm to ensure that we have healthy cattle and poultry. Keeping the farm clean and in order is done every morning by a group of ten boys-in notations every week.

On 26^th June  2013, students of Majorine College Form  had an excursion trip a field work at Kasenyi fish landing site in Entebbe.

We  left Majorine college around 11:30am and arrived at a Kisenyi fish landing site 1:10pm below are some of the events that took place  during  the day. Br Robert Dias had his 90^th birthday on 7^th of June 2013 the Feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was a working day so it was post–poned to Saturday the 8^th of June which was the Feast day of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. How blessed that day was! In 2011 I joined Kamuli Vocational Training Centre, a school which empower the youth, old and disabled with skills, social values and how to relate with one another. This school has a lot of courses like plumbing, agriculture, electrical installation among others.

This year has started on a very good note at Don Bosco CALM, a number of those boys who finished last year 2012 their courses in Vocational Schools have received their resettlement packages and many are now attached to several workshops and companies where they are working and leading their lives independently.
